Located in the same region as the Inca Trail, the Salkantay Trek is an ancient and remote footpath linking Mollepata with Machu Picchu. The name Salkantay is a Quechua word meaning “Savage Mountain”. Mount Salkantay, the highest peak of the Willkapampa mountain range in the Peruvian Andes is a majestic glacier-capped summit that rises to 6271m above sea level. Worshipped for thousands of years by local Indians, the Incas considered Salkantay to be one of the main deities controlling rain and fertility in the region west of Cusco. Tour Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu 5 days and 4 nights

Tour day 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypamapa

4:30 am transfer from the hotel to board the bus and travel 3 hours to Mollepata
7:30 am arrival to Mollepata and breakfast
9 am we organized everything on the horses and we started the walk
12 pm lunch on the way
2 pm we arrive at the camp Soraypampa pernocte – Peru

Tours Day 2: Soraypampa – Colcapampa

7 am breakfast at the camp
8 am we start the walk through beautiful landscapes
12 pm lunch on the way
4:30 pm arrival at Colpapampa camp and overnight – Peru
Tour day 3: Colpapampa – Santa Teresa

7 am breakfast prepared by the cook at the camp
8 am – 11 am hike through jungle eyebrow landscapes
12 pm lunch
4 pm arrival at Santa Teresa camp overnight
5 pm visit of the Cocalmayo thermal baths – Peru

Tour day 4: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes Machu picchu village

7 am breakfast at the camp
8:30 am we started the walk along a path of pretty vegetation with many plantations of coca, coffee and fruit.
12 pm lunch on the way
1 pm we arrive at Hidroelectrica
2 pm 4.30 pm trek of 10 km. by the train line to Machu Picchu village
5 pm if you want to visit the thermal baths
8 pm Dinner with the whole group and overnight at the hotel – Peru

Tour day 5: Machu Picchu tour – Cusco

5:40 am board the bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu (Recommended) to watch the sunrise or sunrise in Machu Picchu.
6:20 am Must register at the control of Machu Picchu
6:50 – 9:20 am Guided tour of 2 hours, the professional guide will give you 2 hours of information in the main sectors of Machu Picchu.
09:30 – 2 pm free time to enjoy the citadel or take photos of this world wonder.
2:00 pm board the bus down to the town of Aguas Calientes and enjoy lunch or visit the botanical garden.
5:40 pm Present at the train station in hot waters
6:20 pm board the train and travel to Ollantaytambo station
8:30 am Arrival to the train station of Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco by tourist bus
10:30 pm arrival to the city of Cusco – Peru
